Antonia Baehr è regista, performer, coreografa e film-maker basata a Berlino. Baehr esplora e decostruisce la fiction del quotidiano e del teatro, mappando le forze che ci pressano sotto forma di regole o abitudini. Svela corrispondenze scomode e scuote le categorie: umano/animale, femminile/maschile, vivente/morto. Istituisce strane connessioni -e disconnessioni- in movimento, lavorando su diverse forme di embodiment, come nel progetto Ridere, in cui indossa risate altrui, o Abecedarium Bestiarium in cui presenta relazioni simbiotiche. E' produttrice dei suoi alter ego: Werner Hirsch danzatore, Henri Fleur musicista e coreografo, Henry Wilt compositore, e Henry Wilde ex-marito ed aspirante compositore di New Music.
Antonia Baehr is a choreographer, performer, filmmaker and visual artist based in Berlin. Her works explore the fiction of the everyday and of the theatre, among other themes, setting strange connections -and disconnections- in motion. Baher maps out the forces that press on us in the form of rules and habits, unveils awkward correspondences and shakes up categories: human or animal, male or female, living or dead. Baehr is the producer of her alter egos: the horse whisperer and dancer Werner Hirsch, the musician and choreographer Henri Fleur, the composer Henry Wilt, and the aspirant New Music composer and ex-husband Henry Wilde.
