Sabato 31 gennaio 2026 alle h 23 Xing presenta a Raum, Bologna, Intercity Notte, ultima sessione aperta a tutti di un'esperienza di studio sulla FESTA, concepito dal coreografo Vincent Giampino, condotto insieme a cinque performer selezionati attraverso una open call (Costanza Nani, Alex Paniz, Giorgia Polverini, Nicolò Russo, Bianca Zueneli), con un live set di talpah.

Lo studio di Vincent Giampino apre un nuovo capitolo della ricerca di Xing sul concetto di FESTA intesa come opera d'autore e come momento di sospensione dell’ordinarietà, nei tempi e nei modi: una parentesi, un cambio (temporaneo) di regime.

Intercity Notte utilizza un formato denominato “treno” come nell’espressione: “ieri sera mi sono fatto un treno incredibile in discoteca”, oppure “stasera, treno?” - che implica l’iniziare a ballare in discoteca e non fermarsi per un tempo relativamente lungo, senza mai interrompere la relazione costante con la musica, la serata, le vibes e il movimento.

I partecipanti si sono incontrati in incognito per la prima volta il 23 gennaio scorso in un club della città, il Freakout, in un evento pubblico organizzato da Undicesimacasa. Ognuna e ognuno riceve una costellazione di indicazioni comuni - punti di attenzione, pratiche di orientamento, ancoraggi per l’ascolto e per la presenza: una partitura che ha accompagnato il corpo nel suo treno continuo, nel suo farsi attraversamento, osservazione e movimento.

La seconda notte, 30 gennaio, si è svolta a Raum, la sede di Xing. L’esperienza condivisa all’esterno è diventata oggetto di studio e di scambio e un dj set privato ha dato forma a un nuovo treno — un attraversamento collettivo che, in uno spazio più intimo, sperimenta altre possibilità di compresenza e ascolto reciproco.

La terza e ultima notte di sabato 31 gennaio a Raum segnerà, quindi, una estroflessione: si apre all’esterno facendo diventare lo spazio che ha accolto i partecipanti la sera precedente un club per tutt, con un live set di talpah. I partecipanti, ormai portatori di un’esperienza sedimentata e rielaborata, continuano il loro percorso: ciascunə con il proprio treno, in parte scritto e ancora in divenire. Le traiettorie individuali si intrecciano in un campo condiviso, dove la compresenza diventa scrittura personale e paesaggio collettivo.In questa notte, i partecipanti si fanno host, ospiti e custodi di un’esperienza che invita tuttə a prendere parte, in un ritmo che alterna l’ascolto all’intrattenimento, la cura alla dispersione, la presenza alla festa.

Il corpo come oggetto povero e impoverito dallo sguardo.
Lo sguardo esterno prescrive e ascrive termini di relazione e significato, imputa, pretende, anticipa e predice: lo sguardo è un oggetto recipiente della cultura nel quale è immerso. Semplice. Banale da dire.
Questo accade anche quando rivolgo lo stesso sguardo su di me, creando però una frizione con il mio desiderio intimo che valica i paesaggi condivisi.
Oltre la frontiera c’è il mio sguardo che non potrò mai incontrare appieno. Vive di scarto. Vive in rilancio.
Uno dei modi per lasciare spazio allo scarto — per permettere che si renda visibile e diventi agente generativo di forme - è attraverso le conseguenze, o eccedenze, della fatica. Joule bruciati nell’attività: la stanchezza del mezzo corporeo è sintomo del limite da valicare.
Tra un tremore e l’altro c’è la mia scelta. C’è la mia azione. Ci sono io.
Questo tremore è eccedenza dell’azione e dell’immagine: massa muscolare e tensione sinaptica che chiedono una riassimilazione delle forme, dei modi.

Vincent Giampino, coreografo e performer, si forma tra Italia, Germania e Paesi Bassi. La sua pratica coreografica si articola attorno al concetto di “povertà coreografica”, intesa come tensione verso un oggetto corporeo leggero, stupidamente abbandonato alla semplicità, che perde la propria centralità prospettica sottraendosi alla necessità della messa in mostra di sé. Consegue il B.A. presso SNDO - School for New Dance Development ad Amsterdam. I suoi primi lavori vengono mostrati in Germania, Belgio e Olanda, e nel 2017 è finalista al Prix Jardin d’Europe di Impulstanz a Vienna con Oneka Von Schrader. Tornato in Italia, nel 2018 è selezionato dal Network Anticorpi XL per la Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore di Ravenna, nel 2019 per NID Platform/Open Studios a Reggio Emilia, e nel 2023 per NID Platform a Cagliari. In Italia ha presentato le sue creazioni in teatri e festival tra cui Teatro Comunale di Ferrara; Fabbrica Europa, PARC e Teatro Florida a Firenze; Xing, Raum, Live Arts Week e Gender Bender a Bologna; Teatri di Vetro, Buffalo e Short Theatre a Roma; Centro Pecci a Prato; festival Le Alleanze dei Corpi e NAO Performing Festival a Milano; Akropolis festival a Genova; Interplay festival e Lavanderia a Vapore a Torino. Tra le creazioni coreografiche recenti:  UMLAUT e le sue derivazioni SCHAU, STELLEN, e il progetto di studio Intercity Notte. Ha collaborato con artisti, coreografi, musicisti tra cui Greta Francolini, Cristina Kristal Rizzo, Marco Mazzoni, Edoardo Ciaralli, Lady Maru, Stefania Tansini e prosegue la propria ricerca sul corpo e sul gesto come materia politica, estetica e simbolica.

Saturday 31 January 2026 at 11 pm, Xing presents at Raum, Bologna, Intercity Night, the last session - open to everybody - of a study experience on celebration, conceived by choreographer Vincent Giampino and related to dance as a psycho-physical-social environment, conducted together with five performers selected through an open call (Costanza Nani, Alex Paniz, Giorgia Polverini, Nicolò Russo, Bianca Zueneli) with a live set by talpah.

The study by Vincent Giampino opens a new chapter in Xing's research on the concept of FESTA (celebration), understood as a work of art and as a moment of suspension from ordinariness: a parenthesis, a (temporary) change of regime.

Intercity Night is based on the physical experience of a “train” (treno in italian) which involves starting to dance at the disco and not stopping for a relatively long time, without ever interrupting the constant relationship with the music, the evening, the vibes, and the movement.

The participants met for the first time anonymously on 23 January at a local club, Freakout, in a public event organized by Undicesimacasa. Each received a constellation of shared guidance - points of attention, orientation practices, anchors for listening and presence: a score that accompanied the body in its continuous ‘train’ while crossing, observing, and moving.

The second night, 30 January, took place at Raum, Xing's headquarters. The shared experience outside became an object of study and exchange, and a private DJ set gave shape to a new ‘train’ that, in a more intimate space, explores other possibilities of coexistence and mutual listening.

The third and final night of Saturday 31 January, at Raum, will therefore mark an extroversion: it opens outward, transforming the space that welcomed participants the previous evening into a club for all, with a live set by talpah.The participants, now bearers of a settled and reworked experience, continue their journey: each with their own ‘train’, partly written and still evolving. Individual trajectories intertwine in a shared field, where co-presence becomes personal writing and collective landscape. On this night, the participants become hosts, guests as well as custodians of an experience that invites everyone to take part, in a rhythm that alternates listening with amusement, caring with dispersion, presence with ‘the party’.

The body as a poor object, impoverished by the gaze.
The external gaze prescribes and ascribes terms of relationship and meaning, imputes, demands, anticipates, and predicts: the gaze is an object that receives the culture in which it is immersed. Simple. Banal to say.
This also happens when I turn that same gaze on myself, creating friction with my intimate desire that transcends a shared landscape.
Beyond the border is my gaze, which I will never fully encounter. It thrives on waste. It thrives on revitalization.
One way to leave space for waste—to allow it to be visible and become a generative agent of forms—is through the consequences, or excesses, of fatigue. Joules burned in activity: the weariness of the corporeal medium is a symptom of the limit to be crossed.
Between one tremor and another, there is my choice. There is my action. There is me.
This tremor is a surplus of action and image: muscular mass and synaptic tension that demand a re-assimilation of forms and modes.

Vincent Giampino, choreography-maker and performer based in Rome. He is interested in the definition of a system of ‘choreographic poverty’ around a light bodily object, stupidly abandoned to simplicity, which unlearns the display of itself. He was trained in Italy, Germany and Holland, where he graduated in choreography from the SNDO School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. His first stage works have been shown in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, and in 2017 he was a finalist in the Prix Jardin d'Europe at Impulstanz in Vienna with Oneka Von Schrader. Back in Italy, in 2018 he was selected by the Anticorpi XL Network for the Showcase of Young Authorial Dance in Ravenna, in 2019 for NID Platform/Open Studios in Reggio Emilia, and in 2023 for NID Platform in Cagliari. In Italy, he presented his work in theatres and festivals including Teatro Comunale in Ferrara; Fabbrica Europa, PARC and Teatro Florida in Florence; Xing, Raum, Live Arts Week and Gender Bender in Bologna; Teatri di Vetro, Buffalo and Short Theatre in Rome; Centro Pecci in Prato;  Le Alleanze dei Corpi festival and NAO Performing Festival  in Milan; Akropolis festival in Genova; Interplay festival and Lavanderia a Vapore in Turin.
