Laraaji

Laraaji (or LaraaJi Venus Nadabrahmananda/LVN) after having studied composition at Howard University and having played many different instruments, he arrived at the electric harp in the '70s. His album Celestial Vibration (recorded in 1979 as Edward Larry Gordon and reissued by Soul Jazz) offers an entirely new path to the stringed instrument, applying it to environmental and rhythmic research. The album Ambient 3: Day of Radiance, produced by Brian Eno in 1980, is a true pillar of the genre. Over the years Laraaji has acquired an extremely eclectic position that has led him to play in the streets, or create audio tracks for film, television and advertising, and finally to devote himself to oriental philosophy, performing in the most unorthodox places, less tied to the appreciation of musical phenomena as such.
