Di Stefano Bettini, musicista e film-maker fiorentino, tra i protagonisti dell'underground italiano degli anni '80 e '90, saranno presentati tre lavori in super8: Electric Cinema, Indagine spettrale e Media analysing, con proiezioni in pellicola e in presenza dell’autore, che introdurrà assieme a Pier Tosi e a Home Movies questa selezione di cinema espanso per l'XII edizione di Archivio Aperto. Il cinema di Bettini riflette il clima di inquieta trasformazione di quegli anni attraverso immagini e suoni in cui si esprime "la certezza che qualcosa stia sempre mutando". Con il suo Electric Cinema Bettini ha voluto "spezzare tutti i tempi, tutti i ritmi, tagliando corto nella strada per arrivare ai bioritmi. Uno stimolo alla ricerca di nuove sensazioni fisiche e mentali, non è ricerca di un'espressione libera ma di un espressione radicalmente diversa, se si vuole violenta, ma soprattutto espansa."

On this occasion three Super8 films by Stefano Bettini, musician and film-maker from Florence, one of the protagonists of the Italian underground of the 80s and 90s, will be presented: Electric Cinema, Indagine spettrale and Media analyzing. The author will introduce together with Pier Tosi and Home Movies this selection of expanded cinema for Archivio Aperto 2019. Bettini's cinema reflects the climate of restless transformation of those years, through images and sounds in which he expresses "the certainty that something is always changing". With his Electric Cinema Bettini wanted "to break all the timings, all the rhythms, cutting short, to get to the biorhythm. A stimulus in search of new physical and mental sensations: It’s not the search for a free expression but for a radically different expression, probably violent, but above all expanded."
