Fontana di Fuoco reinterpreta lo spettacolo pirotecnico usando le esplosioni come se fossero suoni e i suoni come se fossero esplosioni di colori. Un'arte della stimolazione sensoriale attraverso l'uso di fiamme colorate, di suoni acuti e basse frequenze, che si ispira a una pratica bengalese fondata dalla signora Subhash Chandra Doro nel lontano 1895. "Nascosti dietro lo sfibrarsi del demone fiammeggiante, il loro mondo era quello di arrampicarsi sugli alberi per appiccare scintille e spaventare il passante. Le fronde arboree venivano decorate meticolosamente con delle strisce d’argento che, mosse dal vento, si alzavano a sottolineare i richiami delle ance tagliate nel bambù. Scossi per vincere la vertigine dello spazio, Doro Bengala si riunì attorno a Bob, l’unico e indimenticabile, Bob Caselli, che diede loro la nuova polvere. Quella che tutt’oggi conservano in minuscole scatoline intarsiate con i loro nomi." Le loro sempre più rare apparizioni li ha fatti divenire più che un gruppo pirotecnico o performativo, dei discendenti del mondo incandescente, gli spiritelli del vulcano spento, ciò che resta del magma e del fuoco.
