Ritornano a F.I.S.Co. Jonathan Burrows e Matteo Fargion, straordinari performer, con due lavori che toccano con la consueta leggerezza i territori della musica e della danza. Cheap Lecture è un manifesto del metodo di lavoro dei due artisti e del loro modo di relazionarsi al pubblico. Un'opera la cui musicalità nasce dalla parola ritmica, come una sequenza costruita su un'inarrestabile cascata di pensieri. Ispirato a Lecture on Nothing di John Cage, Cheap Lecture è una performance intrisa di humour e filosofia in cui la danza, in senso stretto, è azzerata: sono le parole che danzano e segnano il tempo.
Il lavoro è contemporaneo alla pubblicazione di A Choreographer’s Handbook (Prontuario di un coreografo) di cui Burrows è autore.

Cheap Lecture is a rhythmic spoken performance set to music, inspired by John Cage's Lecture on Nothing. In a rant about empty hands, audience, time, repetition and dancing, Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion reflect and continue the journey they begun in their earlier trilogy, Both Sitting Duet (2002), The Quiet Dance (2005), and Speaking Dance (2006). Veering from the philosophical to the humorous and back, Cheap Lecture gently reveals how the two artists work while drawing us into ever more unexpected digressions: a performance that dances in your head. It is accompanied by The Cow Piece, a chaotic meditation upon dance, music and mortality.
