La performance $ Shot indaga la relazione tra voyeurismo e contemplazione, inventando un raffinato vocabolario fisico che si intreccia ai codici narrativi del genere pornografico. Una creazione straniante e seducente che è anche una riflessione sulle forme del guardare. Segnato da una certa dimensione formalista del porno, ma anche dal minimalismo degli anni '60 e '70, $ Shot esplora un corpo liberato dal senso e dalla metafora, giocando col feticismo e con la rappresentazione e la costruzione del corpo erotico. Nella performance tutti gli elementi si congiungono in un'accadimento enigmatico e astratto. Le azioni di Jennifer Lacey e Erin Cornell, si inseriscono nell'atmosfera densa e lussuosa dello spazio visivo creato da Nadia Lauro, una superficie instabile contenente liquido lattiginoso, su cui si diffonde come un profumo il suono realizzato dal vivo da Andrea Parkins con generatori di onde sonore, filtri, cuoio, legni e altre materie organiche.

The performance $ Shot explores the relation between voyeurism and contemplation by creating a sophisticate physical vocabulary intertwined with the narratives codes of the pornographic genre. A work at once seducing and estranging which is also a reflection on the different forms of looking. Influenced by the formalist dimension of porn, but also by 60s and 70s minimalism, $ Shot explores a body freed from meaning and metaphor, and toys with fetishism and the representation and construction of the erotic body. All the elements flow together in an enigmatic and abstract event. The actions of Jennifer Lacey and Erin Cornell unfold within the dense and luxurious visual space created by Nadia Lauro: an unstable surface covered by a milky liquid over which spread like a perfume the live sounds of Andrea Parkins, issued from soundwave generators and filters made of leather, wood and other organic materials.
