I-A-K Interplanetary-Abyssal-Kite di Francesco Cavaliere è la quindicesima uscita di XONG collection - dischi d'artista. L’uscita è su vinile bianco, in edizione limitata e numerata di 150 copie, assieme ad una tiratura di 35 collector’s edition accompagnate ciascuna da un foulard-aquilone disegnato dall’artista.

I-A-K Interplanetary-Abyssal-Kite è una composizione di Francesco Cavaliere legata al progetto Abyssal Creatures, l’ensemble di sculture vitree concave in vetro soffiato che richiamano creature trasparenti lontane dalla rappresentazione umana: delle coagulazioni di materia figurata funzionanti come sculture sonore e nuovi strumenti di produzione musicale, realizzate dai maestri vetrai di Murano. Nelle parole di Francesco Cavaliere, questi grandi corpi sonori “funzionano come strumenti musicali ambivalenti (idiofoni, come campane, e aerofoni, suscettibili alle vibrazioni dell’aria) per cui sono state usate le due materie trasparenti per eccellenza: il vetro, forma rigida e cristallina, e il suono, elemento intangibile, che per vie aeriformi si muove e organizza.”
Da queste sculture/strumento nasce I-A-K Interplanetary-Abyssal-Kite, un disco di musica di vetro ed elettronica astratta.
I-A-K è un attraversamento di tragitti abissali sorvolati da un aquilone cosmico che sfiora, tocca e si avvicina a soglie, picchi e luoghi visibili e invisibili, restituendoci il suono che li abita e circonda. “È un binocolo sonico a mille occhi” che si appanna e non decide mai di fermarsi su una o più forme definite: è sempre in movimento, rimbalza tra geometrie. Le tessere che ne compongono l’aspetto - verdi cristallini, grigi e solo in alcuni casi gialli arancio - sono state ritagliate e generate utilizzando un computer Macintosh OSX del 2012. Ogni suono prima di essere disposto ha attraversato ritualmente tre sculture di vetro soffiato dai nomi SÀBANAS I, ALIQUOMANÀS e ENQUOMANÀSC, appartenenti alla Dinastia Abissale I.

The release is on white vinyl, in a limited and numbered edition of 150 copies, including a collector's edition of 35 copies, each accompanied with a foulard-kite designed by the artist.

I-A-K Interplanetary-Abyssal-Kite is a composition by Francesco Cavaliere, part of his Abyssal Creatures project based on an ensemble of concave blown glass sculptures that recall transparent creatures far from human representation: beings that inhale sound and exhale resonances.At the same time sound sculptures and music instruments, they have been created by the master glassmakers of Murano. In the words of Francesco Cavaliere, these sounding bodies “function as ambivalent musical instruments (idiophones, such as bells, and aerophones, susceptible to air vibrations) for which the two transparent materials par excellence were used: glass, rigid and crystalline, and sound, an intangible element, which moves and organizes through gaseous paths.”
I-A-K Interplanetary-Abyssal-Kite is a record of abstract electronics and glass music, a crossing of abyssal paths flown over by a cosmic kite that skims, touches and approaches the thresholds, peaks of both visible and invisible places, and returns the sound that inhabits and surrounds them. “It is a sonic binocular with a thousand eyes” that fogs up and never decides to stop on one or more defined shapes: it is always in movement, bouncing between geometries. The different cells that make up its appearance - crystalline greens, greys and only in some cases orange yellows - were cut out and generated using a 2012 Macintosh OSX computer. Before being arranged, each sound ritually passed through three blown glass sculptures named SÀBANAS I, ALIQUOMANÀS and ENQUOMANÀSC, belonging to theAbyssal Dynasty I.
