Ripartono il 1 ottobre le attività di Raum, lo spazio di Xing a Bologna, con un calendario di progetti speciali, produzioni e ospitalità, fino a dicembre 2016. L'insieme delle opere e situazioni presentate, fuori da un’organizzazione di natura seriale, costituiscono un insieme molto eterogeneo, in termini espressivi e biografici - ci sono almeno tre generazioni coinvolte e parecchie posizioni diasporiche o transeunti -. Le accomuna uno spazio unitario di attivazione, la sala di Raum, ed il fatto di appartenere tutte ad un’indagine che perseguiamo da anni sulle live arts. Nel programma, oltre ad interventi di natura più strettamente fisico-performativa o ambientale, si insinua il corpo immateriale del suono e della voce. Grammi di parole e testo che valgono come rappresentanti di un stato della materia più leggera, come sottratta dalla gravità in seguito ad emergenza e catastrofe: fango che si trasforma in gas organizzato, gradiente e composizione. Sono tutte piccole occasioni di rifondazione, anche con il poco che rimane. Una 'Spiri-actuality', diremmo. Lievi e gravi come particelle. Nel 2016/17 Raum continua ad essere anche spazio di produzione e supporto per progetti nati in collaborazione con altri artisti ed organizzazioni.

Xing's space in Bologna, Raum, restarts its activities from the 1st October with a calender of special projects, productions and events running up until December 2016. The works and situations which have been chosen, arranged and organised without insisting on seriality, make for a heterogeneous whole, both in expressive and biographical terms. There are at least three artistic generations involved, as well as many diasporic and transient positions. What these works have in common is the physical space in which to be activated, the Raum room, and their participation in an artistic investigation into live arts that Xing has been pursuing for many years. In the programme, aside from the interventions of a purely physical, performative or environmental nature, an immaterial body of sound and voice winds its way in. Grains of words and texts as representatives of a state of the lighter matter. As if released from gravity after a disaster or catastrophe, they are like mud transformed into an organised gas, compositions and gradients. All are small chances for re-foundation, with the little that remains. A 'Spiri-actuality', we would say, both light and heavy like particles. In 2016/2017 Raum will continue to be a place of production and support for projects born from collaborations with other artists and organisations.
