Antonija Livingstone è un’artista indipendente di Montreal, Canada, la cui pratica si pone sulla frontiera tra danza e performance. Livingstone è stata influenzata dagli anni vissuti nei campi minerari della British Columbia e dallo Yukon con la sua famiglia di geologi – uno stile di vita improvvisato, in rapporto intimo con il mondo naturale e materiale. Partendo da un approccio critico queer, Livingstone ha sviluppato negli anni un lavoro coreografico collaborativo assieme ad artisti visivi, coreografi, perfetti sconosciuti e animali da compagnia. The Part (2004) è il primo di una lunga serie di lavori multi-identitari femministi, cui seguono Cat Calendar con Antonia Baehr (2005), A situation for dancing con Heather Kravas (2007), Culture, Administration & Trembling (2014) con Jennifer Lacey, Dominique Pétrin, un chihuahua e dei serpenti, Supernatural (2015) in collaborazione con Simone Aughterlony e Hahn Rowe. Tra i lavori recenti: Études Hérétiques (2016) sviluppato con l’artista e scenografa Nadia Lauro, è una collezione di sette studi per ensemble e una lumaca; e Katapult: Volumes II- III è una pratica performativa e visiva di sketching dal vivo con la designer Claudia Hill. Antonija Livingstone ha inoltre collaborato continuativamente come performer per Benoit Lachambre e Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods, con cui si esibisce tuttora in Sketches/Notebook. Il suo lavoro è stato presentato, tra gli altri, al Festival TransAmériques a Montreal, alla Biennale des Arts Performatifs del Québec, Festival d’Automne/Menagerie de Verre a Parigi, Actoral Festival a Marsiglia, American Realness Festival New York, Fierce Festival UK, Impulstanz/Leopold Museum Vienna, Museo de Arte do Rio de Janeiro, Arsenic Losanna e HAU Berlino.

Antonija Livingstone is an independent artist from Montreal, Canada, working at the frontiers of dance and performance. Her practice is influenced by her early life living in itinerant gold mining camps of British Colombia and the Yukon – an improvisational way of life with her family of geologists in intimate rapport with the natural and material world. Livingstone directs a critically Queer approach to collaborative choreographic work, together with visual artists, choreographers, strangers, and animal companions. Since her solo work The Part (2004) she has created a series of diverse co-authored feminist works, notably Cat Calendar with Antonia Baehr (2005),  -a situattion for dancing with Heather Kravas (2007), Culture, Administration & Trembling (2014) with Jennifer Lacey, Dominique Pétrin, chihuahuas and snakes, and Supernatural (2015) with Simone Aughterlony and Hahn Rowe. Among her most recent works: Etudes Hérétiques (2016) co-created with artist and scenographer Nadia Lauro, isa collection of seven studies for ensemble and snail; and Katapult - Volumes II-III with the cross-disciplinary artist Claudia Hill, is based on  visual and performance practice of collaborative 3D sketching. As a performer Livingstone has worked most extensively with the choreographers Benoit Lachambre and Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods with whom she continues to perform Sketches/Notebook. Her work has been presented at a diverse range of contexts including Festival Transameriques Montréal, Biennale des Arts Performatifs Québec, Festival d’Automne/Menagerie de Verre Paris, Actoral Festival Marseille, American Realness Festival New York, Fierce Festival UK, Impulstanz/Leopold Museum Vienna, Museum of Art Rio de Janeiro, Arsenic Lausanne, HAU Berlin.
