Robin Rhode, artista sudafricano trasferitosi nel '91 a Berlino ha una personalità trasversale. Il suo lavoro riesce a spostare il linguaggio verso nuovi territori, aggiungendo alle pratiche della performance, del disegno e della fotografia, il sapore della commistione dei generi. Autodidatta nel disegno, dopo la prima esposizione nel '99 alla South Africa National Gallery di Cittá del Capo viene invitato nei maggiori centri d'arte contemporanea (Istanbul, Anversa, New York, Mexico City). Le sue performance all'ICA di Londra, la partecipazione alla collettiva How Latitudes become Form (Walker Centre - Minneapolis, itin.) e alla recente I Still Believe in Miracles/Drawing Space all'ARC di Parigi, lo impone a livello internazionale. In Italia è presente nel 2005 alla 51a Biennale Arte di Venezia e alla collettiva Sculpture in Non-Objective Way da Tucci Russo, galleria che produce i lavori presentati a F.I.S.Co.

Robin Rhode, a South African artist from Capetown, lived in Johannesburg for 15 years before moving to Berlin in 1991. A transversal personality whose work represents one of the new recent emersions in the panorama of international artists, moving language into new territory, linking the disciplines of  performance, design and photography, the new taste of mixed genres. Self-taught in drawing, after his first exhibition in 1999 at the South africa National Gallery  inCapetown he was invited to major international contemporary art centers (Istanbul, Anversa, New York, Mexico City). His performances at ICA in London, participation in How Latitudes become Form (Walker Center - Minneapolis) and in the recent I Still Believe in Miracles/Drawing Space at ARC in Paris, have brought attention to his 'bushie-agtige' art to world level. In Italy his work was included in 2005 at the 51st Biennale Arte di Venezia and the group show Sculpture in Non-Objective Way by Tucci Russo gallery.
