La ragazza che ha rubato il nome di Pippi Langstrumpf, dopo aver ricevuto l’illuminazione drexciyana nel 2003, è Chiara Fumai. Ispirata dall’ironia dell’italodisco e dal lato più oscuro della techno, Langstrumpf seleziona brani basati su atmosfere sintetiche miste a old school, acid, terror e dirty beats. Membro dal 2005 del Female Pressure di Electric Indigo, ha incendiato gli animi dei luoghi più disparati, fra squat, feste, club, rave, gallerie, e centri d’arte in Europa e in Cina. Nel 2006 Langstrumpf è stata la prima dj italiana a suonare in Cina (Impulse Festival) e nel 2007 è stata selezionata alla Red Bull Music Academy di Toronto, dove ha consolidato i trucchi del mestiere della produzione sotto la guida di Marco Passarani e Theo Parrish. Nel 2008 ha fondato l’etichetta di dance metal Dischi Bellini, con cui ha presentato il suo manifesto digitale The Church of Pippi Langstrumpf, e che sta attualmente pubblicando materiale di Nakion, Fratelli Riviera, Ultron, Club Silencio e di Pippi stessa. Vive e lavora a Milano, non è mai stata ad Ibiza.

The girl who stole the name Pippi Langstrumpf, after receiving the Drexciyan enlightenment in 2003, is Chiara Fumai. Inspired by the irony of italodisco and the more obscure side of techno, Langstrumpf carefully selects pieces based on synthetic atmospheres mixed with old school, acid, terror and dirty beats. Member of Electric Indigo’s Female Pressure from 2005, she has fired the souls of the most disparate venues: squats, parties, clubs, raves, galleries, and art centers in Europe and China. In 2006 Langstrumpf was the first Italian dj to play in China (Impulse Festival) and in 2007 was selected by the Red Bull Music Academy in Toronto, where she consolidated the tricks of the production trade under the guidance of Marco Passarani and Theo Parrish. In 2008 she founded the metal dance label Dischi Bellini, where she published her digital manifesto The Church of Pippi Langstrumpf, and is presently releasing material by Nakion, Fratelli Riviera, Ultron, Club Silencio and Pippi herself. Currently based in Milan, she has never been to Ibiza.
